What do we offer?

IN-HOUSE TRAINING PLAN

We provide an in-house training plan which is mapped to the GPHC framework and performance standards.
This will enable you to stay on track with progress reviews, performance standards, and learning outcomes set out by the GPHC.

EXPERIENCED TUTORS

All our tutors have completed a tutor training programme.
All our tutors are vastly experienced pharmacists, with many being previous foundation trainee students in the group.
They will provide help and support throughout your year in order to make you into a competent responsible pharmacist.

TRAINING PROGRAMME

You will be enrolled onto one of the UK's leading programmes delivered by ProPharmacy.
Essential support provided to cover theory and knowledge requirements.
You will be provided with supplementary learning materials, regular assessments, and mock exams, which give a simulated exam experience.

CROSS-SECTOR PLACEMENT

Broaden your knowledge with arranged cross-sector placements in hospital or primary care for a minimum of 13 weeks.
Enable you to meet the required performance standards.
Broaden your knowledge with arranged cross-sector placements in hospital or primary care.
Develop and broaden your skillset to deliver autonomous patient care in all settings.

DPP - DESIGNATED PRESCRIBING PRACTITIONER

You will have a dedicated DPP to help enhance your prescribing knowledge.
Develop your prescribing skills with a minimum of 90 hours in a prescribing environment.
You will have a variety of prescribing areas to choose from.

STUDY TIME

We offer dedicated protected study time.
Enable you to consolidate and reflect on your learning.

FEEDBACK

Tutors will provide regular trainee feedback.
The accessibility of our tutors will enable you to develop and improve throughout the year.
Feedback will enable you to build your confidence and competence.

PEER SUPPORT

You will have access to support throughout the year including the foundation trainee co-ordinator.
We have a WhatsApp group to enable learning amongst your peers NHS + Private.
Opportunity to learn about a range of exciting services such as Flu vaccinations, Travel Vaccination Clinic, Ear Microsuction, and Pharmacy First.
